Yahoo! No not "Yahoo". Guess I should have said Yipee! Check it out! https://www.mypetssoul.com. Send me a picture of your pet or someone else's pet, and I can do a pastel portrait or watercolor. Also trying acrylic. I love animals. The pictures speak to me. They aren't your average portrait. I don't do picture perfect portraits. I try to capture the personality of the dog, cat, or whatever animal picture you send me. When at all possible, I like to meet your pet. You can tell me something about your pet, what they like to do, some quirky things they do etc. Thanks for visiting!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12999828748143238858noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304531983365375218.post-54230292580036392622014-01-27T14:54:00.001-08:002014-01-27T14:54:44.264-08:00Love and a BeagleSo, I met a lady at PetCo who had a fluffy dog in tow and saw our beagle. "Awww" she said, "I have one of those old girls at home". Then she said, "I'm not sure I want to do the Beagle thing again". Which gave me paws....! To which she responded to herself, "yeh, I'm gonna do it again". Beagles are surely special. They have their own way, and they are sooooo sweet. I know there are other very sweet breeds out there too. They all have so much love to give. Who knows what makes beagles tick. If dogs are one species, they sure are varied. The personalities are so different. Just like human beings. We come in all different shapes and sizes and personalities too. Does every species? Interesting to contemplate.
I hope he is happy there. I suppose he'll bay the whole time. He is very attached to me, but we have to go. Thought of having someone stay with him. Anyone have an opinion? I got lazy and went back to a grain free dry dog food. Now I think I'll go back to making his food. His energy has gone way down and I'm hoping it will pick up with the change and the tumors will shrink. Thank goodness they are not malignant. I was concerned about our older dogs and their kidneys when eating manufactured dog food. So, in my research, I came across this site. Take a look. He has some really good recipes for your dog.
What makes dogs do this. Wouldn't you love to get inside their heads and find out just what spurred them on the run like a maniac - figure eights, straight -a - ways, eyes wide, ears flying behind them, narrowly missing end tables and around coffee tables. Why can't he do this outside? Our dog loves hibiscus flowers. Though he's 10, he'll jump up to grab them off the bush. I know they are high in vitamin C, but what exactly would a dog find tasty about the flower. Our little Silky mix even likes them. They actually beg for them. I can't imagine they are harmful, because they have been eating them for years. If anyone knows about this, I hope they post something.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12999828748143238858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304531983365375218.post-3595667781136625782012-07-02T14:08:00.002-07:002012-07-02T14:11:44.194-07:00Our beagle - best budYou probably have an endearing story about your pet that many of us could identify with. We have a beagle who loves to run a figure 8 around the house, skidding through the kitchen as he goes. His eyes are as wide as a dog who's seen a ghost and it seems as if the ghost is chasing him. Since I have given him a cookie every time he does that (he's trained me very well), when he finishes his laps (usually 5 or 6), he sits below the cookie jar and keeps pointing up to the jar with his nose. The little silky mix that we have is the cheerleader/referee and barks constantly when the race is on. I'm not sure, but I think the run is a beagle trait. Maybe a beagle owner, or breeder knows for sure. Anyway, we are very amused every time he does it and clap and cheer him on.
